M-Edge announces partnership with Halsea, bringing a selection of beach-inspired patterns to its hit line of Kindle jackets
ODENTON, Md., (BUSINESS WIRE) – M-Edge Accessories – the leading provider of accessories for eReaders – announced today a new partnership with California-based accessories designer Sally Bartz of Halsea, a beach-chic travel bag and accessories company. M-Edge is launching a new, high-end line of protective Kindle covers featuring Halsea’s colorful beach-inspired fabrics and designs.
The Halsea for M-Edge Kindle jackets retail for $69.99, but are currently on sale for $59.99 for a limited time. The jackets are available in two patterns: Little Harbor, a classic lattice print with a bamboo twist in Kelp Green, Coffee Brown, and Navy Blue; and Boat Canyon, a charming pattern of crabs climbing on tangled rope available in Ocean Teal and Bonfire Brown. The Halsea for M-Edge covers will protect Kindle from damage while the colorful ocean-inspired patterns lend a beach-y tone to the beautifully constructed styles.
For M-Edge, the partnership was borne of the desire to diversify their standard line of protective leather Kindle covers into different materials and patterns. To that end, M-Edge CEO Patrick Mish looked no further than his own home for inspiration. His wife, a big fan of Halsea’s beach-inspired line of luxe luggage and stylish accessories, knew the prints would appeal to the sophisticated tastes of Kindlers.
“The Halsea for M-Edge jackets are guaranteed to make a splash in the Kindle accessories market,” says M-Edge CEO Patrick Mish. “With the Halsea for M-Edge jackets, we are proving our commitment to provide Kindle users with trendsetting, fashion-forward designs to outfit their devices. Halsea’s casual luxury mixed with the functionality of each of Sally’s designs is right in tune with the needs of the Kindle and M-Edge consumer, and we are thrilled with the results of our collaboration.”
For Halsea designer Sally Bartz, adding the Halsea for M-Edge Kindle jacket adds a new dimension to her line of travel bags and accessories, which features several styles in patterns and colors that mix and match.
“Having spent a lifetime at the beach, I know the first thing I throw into my beach bag or take on vacation is a great book. The partnership with M-Edge to design a cover for the increasingly popular Kindle is an organic extension of my current line and has given me an opportunity to bring the easy sophistication of Halsea to a cutting-edge industry,” says Bartz. “There are so many Kindlers who use their devices as a leisure activity or a vacation accessory and they deserve to transfer some of that ‘vacation style’ to outfitting their device.”
Timeless and brilliantly functional, every Halsea for M-Edge Kindle jacket is constructed of a laminated canvas with finishing touches of leather on the exterior, and a front flap that closes securely as well as folds back for easy reading via a hidden magnetic closure. The jacket’s interior is made of lush brown synthetic microsuede and includes a side pocket for storage of papers as well as a smaller business card pocket and pen loop. Kindle is held in place via a sturdy four-point mounting system made of soft brown leather. The jacket is also compatible with M-Edge’s innovative e-Luminator2 booklight, for use when reading in low-light environments.

Coastal Living Features Sally Bartz and Halsea
As a publicist of a boutique PR firm in Orange County, there are certain things in your career that make you beyond excited. June's issue of Coastal Living is one of them.
TO Media Co's first client, Sally Bartz of Halsea, was recently featured in the issue in an article titled "Making Her Case". Lindsey Ellis Beatty worked with us for the last year on this article, which survived one magazine closing down and Lindsey moving to Coastal Living. (Thanks Lindsey for working so hard on this - Coastal Living is the perfect place for Sally's beach-chic inspired travel bags!)
It features a full page article on Sally and her inspirations behind the line, her beach-y lifestyle and of course her amazing travel bags. The fabulous shots were taken by the VERY talented Shelly Strazis. I was so excited to not only see the article but to also see that an additional shot of Sally in the Halsea Shop made the Table of Contents page!
Thanks Lindsey!

Newport Beach, CA – Launching her fourth collection of travel bags, Sally Bartz of Halsea, the beach-chic travel accessories company, is proud to announce her latest collection called Little Harbor.
Little Harbor is a fresh take on a coastal classic, inspired by a recent trip to the lakeside town of Harbor Springs, MI. The pattern is a crisp white bamboo lattice print on a kelp green or coffee background. The beautifully detailed bags are trimmed in leather.

· Large Tote – A very roomy tote perfect for a day at the beach, or the farmers’ market. ($135)
· Wallet Clutch– Looks like a clutch but acts like a wallet. The perfect 2-in-1 piece so you don’t have to pack an extra handbag for evenings. ($88)
· Cosmetic Bag – Plenty of inside pockets to carry a gal’s lotions and potions. ($55)
· Small Make-Up Bag - Small, zip-top case -- perfect to carry just the essentials. ($40)
· Halsea Home – décor items including pillows, table cloths and fabric-by-the-yard are also available in any of the exclusive Halsea patterns.
All styles are made of laminated printed canvas, and feature Halsea’s signature shell-pink satin lining – a feminine touch for sure, but also practical - ensuring that even the smallest accessories are easy to spot. Designed to mix and match, Halsea fabrics coordinate so that fans can expand their collections with the introduction of each new print.
“The Little Harbor print reminds me of the kind of classic seaside elegance where preppy reigns,” Sally mused. “It invokes a time when things took on more meaning the longer you owned them, and the little touches, like needle point pillows, were appreciated. When the highlight of the day was dusk spent with family and friends, sitting on the beach playing cards, telling stories, laughing with the kids.”
