Vanessa Squared Productions, founded by interior designer Vanessa De Vargas and design editor Vanessa Kogevinas, is proud to present our second HIGH-END DESIGNER TAG SALE SHOPPING EVENT in conjunction with Amanda Malson and Jolene Ballard of Domicile Interior Design.

The Designer Tag Sale is an upscale interior designer yard/tag sale hosted by Keri Shrimpton that will feature over ten of Orange County and Los Angeles' top designers selling items from their personal inventories including small furniture such as side-tables, lamps, rugs, pillows, art, accessories and more at incredibly low prices! At our tag sales nothing is over $200, and prices run as low as $5. Lots of holiday gift potential!!

Vendors include Happy Mundane, m[E] Material Environment, Richie Design, The Red Velvet Company, SMARTY, and Yelp will participate as a media sponsor.

The Designer Tag Sale also features mini-consultations and appraisals by designers, a silent auction, a raffle and more. Entertainment includes a bar, light passed appetizers and beauty treatments.

Gift bags are offered to the first thirty attendees including gift certificates, coupons, and other fun items. Any left-over designer inventory is donated to The Sheepfold (a women with children’s shelter). Entry fee is $10. Cash only; designers will not have credit card capabilities.

We greatly look forward to your participation and support!

Natalie Umbert + Romantic Homes Photo Shoot

Romantic Homes magazine was looking for houses for their COLOR issue. Natalie Umbert's home was so perfect for the story we had to pitch it! Editorial Director Jacqueline deMontravel, who had the one the cutest pair of shoes that I have seen lately, did an amazing job. I can't wait to see her home in print! Look for it on news stands in March.
Enjoy the snapshots I took of Natalie's place and the very grainy (Sorry!) photo of the two New Yorkers -Jacqueline and Natalie.

Orange, Orange Orange!

Who doesn't love orange these days? I have always wanted to be brave enough to paint a room (or a least a wall) a dirty but still cheerful orange.

Always on trend, Heather Clawson of Habitually Chic recently posted two stories about using orange - http://habituallychic.blogspot.com/2009/08/orange-you-glad-its-friday.html and http://habituallychic.blogspot.com/2009/08/more-orange.html.

For a local twist, Orange County interior designer, Natalie Umbert of atelier-natalie umbert was just featured in Riviera Interiors magazine in her fabulous orange living room.

Natalie also has a store on Pacific Coast Highway in the beach-chic town of Corona del Mar, which she doubles as a think tank and showroom for her fresh eye, her talent and her latest whims.

ASID 2009 Design Tour Featured on KTLA with Allie MacKay

The talented designers transformed Orange Coast's Lisa Jackson's apartment to bring the ASID 2009 Design Tour to life. In addition to talking about the ASID Design Tour, they showed viewers the creativity that a designer can bring to your space and how to maximize what you have, while making the biggest impact. They did an AMAZING job!
Above are the rooms they created for Lisa - a living room, dining room and outdoor patio. Go to and check out the segments listed "interior design tips" www.ktla.com/alliemackay

Natalie Umbert of Atelier Interior Design Gives Us A Sneak Peak At Her ASID 2009 Design Tour Space

The lovely and talented Natalie Umbert had coffee with us the other morning to check in and give us the scoop on her space for the ASID 2009 Design Tour - Urban Living at Astoria.

Here is a sneak peak at the story boards for her space. If you can't wait to see it at the 2009 Design Tour, you can find her at her Corona del Mar store - Atelier, a place she uses as a think tank and a laboratory to channel her creative energy.

We love her fearless use of color and her fresh take on design. Everything she does makes you want to move in!
